What is ECO2t Funding?

The Energy Company Obligation (ECO) is a government energy efficiency scheme in Great Britain to help reduce carbon emissions and tackle fuel poverty. The scheme began in April 2013, and over time it has been amended. There are 2 obligations under ECO 2T Funding:

Carbon Emmission Reduction Obligation (CERO) – Under CERO obligated suppliers must promote primary improvement measures such as roof and wall insulation.

Home Heating Cost Reduction Obligation (HHCRO) – Under HHCRO, obligated suppliers must promote measures to help low income and vulnerable households to heat their homes. This includes any energy saving measure that will help to reduce heating costs, such as replacement boilers.

• Pension Guaranteed Credit
• Child or Working Tax Credit*
• Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
• Income-related Employment and Support Allowance

*If you are in receipt of a Tax Credit or Universal Credit, your grant eligibility will be subject to a maximum income amount. This is based on how many adults and children live in the property. Find below further information for this;
