Cavity Wall

Optimising your home temperature

Insulate the void in your wall

If your home has a cavity wall you can install Thermabead insulation which will prevent drafts and could shave up to £225* a year from your energy bills. That’s virtually magic.

*based upon a G-rated gas boiler heated detached property.

FILL THE VOID

Reduce bills

If your home has cavity walls, you could install an invisible layer of insulation to reduce heat loss by 70%*. If you are not sure exactly what a cavity wall is – read on.

You can usually find out if you have a cavity wall by quickly checking your EPC (energy performance certificate). The other rule of thumb is if your external wall is more than 260mm thick, it is usually a cavity wall.

If you do have cavity walls, the good news is, you can fill them to insulate your home. We work with a product called Thermabead, which is 20%* more efficient than rock and glass wool products. Our installers will inject the product into the void between the two walls, this process can be carried out with minimal disruption and 30%* less drill holes compared to a standard installation. Thermabead is fire retardant and BBA approved.

The bonus with cavity wall insulation is that you can still carry out home modifications without disturbing the insulation, it wont shrink, crack or settle even if you need to change your windows.
