ASHPs operate by extracting air from the outside and absorbing it into a liquid refrigerant. Then, using electricity, the pump compresses the liquid to increase its temperature. It will then be condensed back into a liquid and release its stored heat. This heat will be transferred to your radiators or underfloor heating system and can be dispersed throughout your entire property. Any excess hot water can also be used for showers, baths and taps. The remainder will be stored in a hot water cylinder until needed.
